Story
As a passionate supporter of Rainbows Hospice I take on at least one fundraising objective each year. I have run long distance challenges, climbed Kilimanjaro, abseiled from the top of tall buildings and last year jumped out of a plane flying some 2-3/4 miles up in the clouds to freefall at 120 mph before opening a parachute to make a safe landing. It is now 2026, I am 86 years of age and continue in awe at the love and care provided to life limited children at Rainbows Hospice. They will never have the life opportunities I have enjoyed so I invite you to sponsor me as I undertake the wing walk. On June 19th I will climb to the top of the bi-plane, fit a harness and will then perch there as the plane takes off. It will swoop low over the watching crowd, it will soar up into the clouds before doing gymnastic stunts. I promise that the more you donate the more I will dance and wave my arms about.
As a charity, Rainbows is almost entirely dependent on people like you to provide the funds that keep their services going.
Rainbows provide specialist care and emotional support for babies, children and young people with serious or terminal conditions and their loved ones, so they can enjoy their time together as a family, for as long as they have.
