Story
Brian fought for 3 years with positivity against a disease that no matter what he threw at it continued to grow. He smiled through his pain, while still reaching out to help others. He always held out hope that one day he would defeat it. But on 11 April 2026 at 12.35am Brian lost his fight just 35 minutes after his 50 th Birthday. His wish was for everyone to get the chance to fight this awful disease with a logical plan to attack it with access to early testing, genetic testing, easy access to all medical records instead of red tape and bureaucracy and informed treatment options that included other options other than surgery and chemo. Treatments that include integrative oncology not just everyone fits one treatment but a more targeted approach.
We chose Bowel Cancer Uk because out of all the organisations available for support they were the only ones that had helped him. The forums had been invaluable and informative at different stages during his fight and he spoke to many amazing people in a similar situation and found comfort in doing so. We believe that he would like donations to go to Bowel Cancer UK so that they

might one day be able to carry out his wishes.
Bowel Cancer UK is the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. They
