About the Tournament

Established in 2003, this tournament is a tribute to Brian Walsh, who dedicated decades to Swimming and Water Polo in Blackpool. Brian represented his country, held various roles within the club, and was an inspiring figure in the swimming and water polo community until his passing in 2003.

Each year, we invite clubs from across Lancashire and the North-West to compete and raise funds for a charitable cause. This year, Blackpool have chosen Bowel Cancer UK, a cause close to our hearts.

How You Can Help

Here’s how you can be a part of this important event:

- Attend the Event: Join us at Palatine Leisure Centre to enjoy thrilling water polo matches and support your local teams. Spectator fee: £3+ (includes a program and a raffle ticket for the prize draw).

- Donate Raffle Prizes: Raffle donations are essential to our fundraising efforts. Please hand your prizes to Sean, Paul, or one of the coaches, or drop them at the club desk.

- Buy Raffle Tickets: Available at the pool and later at the Blackpool Light Craft Club.

- Spread the Word: Share this page, event posters, or club details on social media to help us reach more supporters.

- Sponsor the Event: If you know a company or individual willing to sponsor the tournament, please get in touch.

- Volunteer: Help out on the day with tasks like manning the door, setting up, or cleaning up. Contact Paul Wilkinson for ways to get involved.
