My multi-day trek in the Sahara Desert for CoppaFeel!

CoppaTrek! Sahara Desert · 8 November 2025 to 16 November 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
I’m Trekking 100km Across the Sahara Desert – Because Why Wouldn’t I?
Hi, I’m Camilla, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’ve been accepted to join CoppaFeel! on their epic CoppaTrek with Gi this November – 100km across the Sahara Desert.
Am I buzzing? Absolutely!
Am I also thinking, “Oh f*ck, what have I signed up for?” Also yes! LOL
For those who know me, you know I’m always up for a crazy challenge – no mountain’s too high, no trek’s too far, and no desert’s too... sandy?
But this one is personal…
Cancer has shaped my life in ways I never imagined. I lost my fiancé 6 weeks before we were due to be married and then both my husband and my father to this devastating disease.
These losses inspired me to leave my corporate career and open my clinic 25 years ago. Now, I spend my days helping others regain their health and confidence through functional blood tests, IV vitamin drips, and medical micropigmentation, including 3D nipple and areola tattooing for mastectomy patients.
This trek is my way of honouring those I’ve lost and raising awareness for CoppaFeel!’s life-saving mission of early detection and education.
And, of course, I’m here to prove that at nearly 63 I can still take on the world (and the desert) – one very warm sandy step at a time.
To take part in this trek, I need to raise £3,000 by November, and this is where I need your help.
Every penny raised goes straight to CoppaFeel!, helping them continue their amazing work.
They are on a mission to stamp out the late diagnosis of breast cancer by making sure that young people are regularly checking their boobs, pecs and chests and getting to know their bodies in order to have the confidence to see their GP if something just doesn't feel normal.
To find out more about CoppaFeel! head to www.coppafeel.org.
So please, if you can, donate whatever you can spare… and if you can’t, please give this a share – because together, we can save lives by spreading awareness and catching breast cancer early.
Needless to say, I’m absolutely buzzing, a little nervous, and already feeling slightly dehydrated just thinking about it—but this Sahara trek is going to be nothing short of EPIC! --- I can’t wait to take you along with me for the ride, from my training adventures to documenting every step of the trek itself.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart …. and my boots!!!
Love,
Camilla x
