I am raising money for Dementia Action Marlow, as they have been fantastic supporting my mum with Alzheimer's and my dad in caring for my mum over the last few years.

They are a lovely bunch of people, who help everyone in the local area who has suffered or coping with this horrible disease.

So I am competing in the Chamonix vertical kilometre, this is a 4km race with 1km flat on roads to the bottom of the mountain at 1000m then 3km straight up to the top of the mountain at 2000m altitude.

It has a maximum gradient of nearly 60%, and the top section is extremely challenging with climbing up ladders and ropes.

Hope you can help me raise some money, there are 55 million people in the world at present with dementia. This increases 10 million per year so its only getting worse.
