We share our lives with cats. They bring happiness to millions of us every day. Yet too many cats don’t get the care and kindness they deserve. At Cats Protection we stand up for every cat to make life better for cats and the people who care for them.

Story

Sweet, gentle Odie is a 9-year-old boy who has faced more challenges than most cats his age. His owner passed away, then he was taken on by someone who could no longer care for him because of their own health issues.

On top of this, when he came in to our care it was clear Odie needed extensive dental work. He had a total of 8 extractions which has cost £490. It was also determined by the vet that Odie sadly needs an eye removed due to continuous discharge and high increased risk of infection. This procedure, costing £685, is necessary to alleviate Odie’s pain, prevent infection, and greatly improve his quality of life. He is such a lovely soul who was timid where he first arrived with us but we have taken things at his pace and he now loves to be fuss and enjoys sitting on laps. Once Odie has recovered from his operation, we will be seeking that special someone to give poor lonely Odie the love he so hugely deserves.

Our Goal:

We need to raise at least £1,175 (+ aftercare costs) to cover the costs of Odie’s dental work and eye surgery. This is where we need your help. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on the generosity of kind-hearted people like you. Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a significant difference in the lives of cats like Odie.

If we are fortunate enough to exceed our target, any additional funds will go towards the care of other cats who desperately need our help.

Cats Protection help more cats than any other organisation and we want to help millions more. We are a dedicated community of passionate employees, volunteers, supporters and partners, working together to make life better for millions of cats and the people who care for them.

We are the voice of cats in society and we speak up for their protection.

We’re working towards a society where every cat is treated with kindness and respect.

Making a better life for cats, because life is better with cats.
