Story
‘Two metre’ Peter Godber has been playing the piano since he was four years old. He was also a Church Organist for All Saints in Newmarket, a Dementia-friendly church. Peter has seen first hand the transformational nature of CBM’s work in Tanzania and Vietnam. He has been an Advocate for CBM UK for almost 20 years, volunteering with his wife Gill.
He once accompanied opera singer Dame Kiri de Kanawa on the piano at the family home, during a Christmas break, from Wadham College.
His basso profundo voice was hand-picked for a choir tour with a 20-strong Oxbridge Choir called ‘Ishirini’ together with a Tanzanian Group called ‘Upendo’ (Swahili for ‘Love’). He likes to spend Sunday afternoons listening to Choral Evensong on BBC Radio 3. He read Jurisprudence (Law) at Oxford.
