Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Friday 21st August, I’ll be taking on a marathon walk of 26.2 miles, from Edgbaston Cricket Ground to Worcester Norton Cricket Club, to raise money for an incredible cause that means so much to our family.

As many of you know, our son George has autism. This September, he’ll be starting at Fort Royal, an amazing school that provides specialist education and support for children with additional needs.

Being George’s dad is the greatest privilege in the world. Knowing he’ll be attending a school that truly understands his needs and will help him grow, develop, and reach his full potential is all any parent could wish for. The work Fort Royal does for children and their families is nothing short of incredible, and I’m proud to be raising money to support the fantastic work they do.

To make the challenge even tougher—and to keep with the cricket theme—I’ll be completing the entire marathon wearing cricket pads and gloves, while carrying a cricket bat. It’s a small way of recognising that while this will be a difficult day for me, George faces additional challenges every single day with determination and courage.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will be hugely appreciated and will help support the amazing work Fort Royal does for children like George.

Thank you so much for your support.
