Story
Training for the Worcester City 10K began back in March, and although it's been going well, it hasn't been without its setbacks. After two knee operations in 2024 and still suffering with pain this year I completed a course of shockwave therapy on my knees in April-May which paused my training.
Thankfully, I'm now back out running, and determined to keep going.
The reason I'm pushing myself is because this year marks 10 years since I lost my beautiful mum. She wasn't just my mum-she was my best friend.
To honour her memory, I'm running the Worcester City 10K while raising money for St Richard's Hospice, a charity that will always hold a special place in my heart. The care and support they provide to patients and their families is truly incredible, and this is my way of giving something back.
I'd give anything to have her waiting at the finish line, but I know she'd be incredibly proud of me and cheering me on every step of the way.
Every training run reminds me why I'm doing this. Some days are harder than others, but I know every step will be worth it when I cross that finish line in Mum's memory.
If you're able to donate, no matter how big or small, I'd be incredibly grateful. Every donation will help St Richard's Hospice continue their amazing work and means more to me than words can say.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting me on this journey. ❤️
