Story
Harry spent most of the last 2 years of his 8 year journey with leukaemia on the teenage cancer ward at UCLH. The care he received was nothing short of phenomenal from everyone and we remember so vividly how loved and supported he felt there.
During this 2 year period he received a fortnightly massage service which most definitely helped him to relax and which he loved. It became more and more important to him as he became more and more unwell, but sadly towards the end, the funding for the service was withdrawn and it was no longer available to him.
Harry's dying wish was that the significant money that he'd made from his street fashion collectibles business should be put towards the funding of this service for other teenagers on the ward to benefit from, just as he had done. Harry's Heroes was born, and for the last 4 years, Harry's Heroes has been providing the service every week, funded by Harry!
As a family we are committed to maintaining this service in Harry's memory, just as he would have expected, so we are all grateful for whatever support everyone feels they can give.
Complimentary therapy is crucial for the mental health of patients who are seriously ill, and Harry's Heroes' massage service is so, so welcomed by all who receive it.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
