Getting fully into the spirit of this years World Cup, on the eve of the tournament, we decided to take on the challenge of running 1 kilometre for every goal scored in the competition...

How hard could it be?

5 the first day, 7 on the second and third, we can do these kind of distances... right?

Bang, bang, bang - 19 goals on day 4, followed by 8, followed by 16 - by day 7 we have already ran 78k - the number are stacking up and the tournament lasts for 39 days - it’s taken over our life!! This really is getting out of our comfort zone.

We have done huge challenges before but this one is starting to feel, without realising from the outset that it could be the biggest yet! A friend said to us it's a shame it isn't attached to a charity, so with lots of even bigger runs and epic plans to come in 2027, here is the start of our latest fundraiser...

All kind of support will be most welcome and sincerely appreciated – it will also make what is going to be an extremely tough training schedule a little bit easier to bear.

Run - work - eat - football - repeat!

All monies raised will go to Footprints Conductive Education Centre, a Nottingham based charity which transforms the lives of children living with mobility and communication difficulties across the East Midlands.
