Last week I celebrated my 11th birthday and I had an amazing time with friends and family. It got me thinking and made me realise how privileged and lucky I am. Sadly not every child is as fortunate and this isn’t right we all deserve the same opportunities. I know I can’t change this on my own but I want to do my part to help. 4.5 million children live in poverty in the UK this makes me so sad.

I am going to be camping out for 100 days to raise money for first days who do great things to support children in my area. I hope to also raise awareness for this wonderful charity and the work they do but I also think it will help me to understand and appreciate my own privilege even more.
