The object of the Group is the relief, care and treatment of premature and sick new born babies in the Special Care Baby Unit at York Hospital, by providing and assisting in the provision of specialised medical or surgical equipment and improved amenities and facilities including education and vocational training.

Our Granddaughter Aurora was born prematurely on the 15th January 2025. The love and support given not only to Aurora, but to her parents Megan and Joe were second to none. Becoming a parent is challenging enough, however with the constant support of SCBU, Aurora was given everything she needed to give her the best start in life. We are forever grateful.
