Story
Your local air ambulance (Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland) is helping save more lives. Our critical care teams attend an average five rescues a day giving the very best chance of survival and recovery. Our Critical Care Cars mean we can reach those who need us 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The charity receives no government funding for its daily missions.
Donations enable The Air Ambulance Service to meet the clinical needs of patients by covering operational costs to ensure all our vital services are ready to respond.Having been unfortunate enough for my partner and i to have been knocked off our motorcycle some years ago i experienced first hand the vital work the Air ambulance do,i was air lifted from the scene and taken to hospital much quicker than normal with suspected internal bleeding& broken pelvis among the more serious injuries i was able to get the prompt urgent care needed and so lived to tell the story& now i wish to try and help this amazing organisation by riding my motorbike solo around as much of Ireland only stopping at the end of a days riding
