Hospiscare provides free and specialised nursing to the terminally ill in Exeter, Mid and East Devon. It looks after more than 700 patients at any one time, supporting patients in their own homes and in its hospice. It relies on the generosity of the community to provide this vital service.

Story

I am cycling 980 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats this September in 9 days (over 100 miles a day!) for Hospiscare. I have no doubt this is going to be a big challenge.

It costs £10 million a year to run the hospice and it receives the majority (82%) of funding from donations, which is an astonishing statistic.

Because of the cost of living and the resulting fall in donations, inpatient beds have reduced from 12 to 8, and some other support services have been cut-back

You don’t need me to tell you wonderful the hospice is, and the people that work there, but we do need them to be able to do their job the best they can.

That can’t happen without our continued support.

I am covering the total costs of this trip to ensure that all money donated by friends, family, colleagues and other people goes to Hospiscare 🥰

Please support them by supporting me to take on this huge challenge

Thank you 🥰
