Iain and Nico's 24 Hour Dog Walk - 24 Hour Pawty People!

Iain Christie is raising money for Liverpool Sunflowers

24 Hour Dog Walk · 3 October 2026

Sunflowers provides a unique support service to individuals and families affected by a cancer diagnosis in the Merseyside region.

Story

Two old friends Iain and Nico will be walking their, and other people's dogs for 24 hours in and around Calderstones Park in Liverpool. You can donate and/or join in!

No dogs will be asked to walk beyond their capabilities and the longest that any dog will walk is four hours.

Iain and Nico are the proud owners of spaniels Ollie and Mylo and they love a good walk. On 3 October 2026 they will take four hour shifts starting at 8am on the Saturday through until 8am on the Sunday. Ollie and Mylo won't be with them all the time so it would be great if you could join in with your dogs!

The walk will be a two hour loop starting and ending at The Reader in the middle of the park. Anybody who wants to join in should meet us there at 8am, 10am, midday, 2pm... you get the drift. We'd particularly like some company through the night so nightowls are encouraged. If you have a dog then that's great but if you just fancy a walk then you'll also be more than welcome.

All donations will go to the incredible Sunflowers Centre on Aigburth Road. Sunflowers is a charity providing support to local people following a diagnosis of cancer or other life-changing illness. They offer a large range of weekly services designed to improve and support your health and wellbeing including counselling, exercise classes, relaxation classes, support groups and much more. Donating helps to keep these activities available for free or for a minimal cost to those who need them.

So please, donate what you can for a brilliant cause.
