Story
Hello,
At the start of this year, we sadly lost my uncle Andrew to prostate cancer. In his memory, my family, friends, and I have decided to organise a charity walk to raise both money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK.
Ganda was someone who meant so much to so many people, and he meant the world to me personally. After his passing, I knew I wanted to do something meaningful in his honour. Thanks to the support from everyone around me, we’re determined to make this a special way to celebrate his life while helping others.
Our goal is to complete a 47-mile walk along the Northumberland coastline. We’ll begin in Berwick-upon-Tweed, finishing day one at Bamburgh Castle. On day two, we’ll continue from Bamburgh Castle to our final destination in Alnmouth.
In the UK, one man dies from prostate cancer every 45 minutes. This has to change.
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK
- More than 64,000 men are diagnosed every year
- Over 12,000 men die from the disease annually
- 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed in their lifetime
We need to keep talking about prostate cancer and raising awareness.
Any support, no matter how small, would mean so much to us.
And if you want to join me and guys at any point along the way please feel free to get into contact with me.
Thank you!
