In 2024 I was diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma, a rare type of brain tumour. Fortunately it was benign but I still had to undergo 13 hour brain surgery in December 2024 and am left with permanent balance issues and single sided deafness. It was life changing but I’m still here.

On 19th September I will do Swim Serpentine 2 mile swim as the final part of the London Classics having completed Ride London 100 before my diagnosis and London Marathon earlier this year. A week later I will run Nottingham Half Marathon and aim for an all time personal best of 1:45 I’m going to need a lot of encouragement to achieve this
