To celebrate my 70th birthday I am taking part in a sponsored parachute jump to raise money for the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance on 10 August 2025.

I had a riding accident a few years ago and the LNAA was sent to rescue two other riders and myself who had all sustained injuries. The speed with which the LNAA arrived at the scene impressed me the most. I was treated at the scene and fortunately I had only sustained a minor head injury and was able to travel to A&E by road.

In a separate incident, a friends’ daughter also had a riding accident which resulted in a broken neck; the LNAA saved her life that day.

Living in rural Lincolnshire where road ambulance response times can be lengthy the LNAA is able to save vital time in administering critical care.
