John Hill is raising money for Sobell House Hospice Charity
In memory of Sandra (aka Potter) Hill

Cycling from London to Paris · 31 July 2025

Sobell House cares for people in Oxfordshire at the end of life, offering specialist support to them and their families. It costs around £11.9 million a year to provide care in our hospice, hospitals and community. Your support helps us to treat every patient and family with dignity and compassion.

Story

In September 2016 my wife Sandra, myself, our friends Chris & Sal, cycled from London to Paris.

6 months later my wife was diagnosed with cancer and the following 4 years were filled with undergoing treatment and operations, but also trying to enjoy as much of life as possible with family and friends.

Unfortunately in Feb 2021 we were told the cancer had returned and 6 weeks later Sandra passed away. During those last 6 weeks we had fantastic support from Sobell House.

Almost 9 years since that first ride to Paris, myself, Chris & Sal, together with Barry, Robbo & Matt have decided to repeat that ride in memory of Sandra and hopefully to raise some much needed cash for Sobell House.

Please give generously to a fantastic cause.
