Story
As a former mountain rescue team member in Snowdonia many years ago, I was fortunate to work with helicopters. I understand them and respect their value.
Considering the distances across Wales over unpredictable roads and terrain, the Wales Air Ambulance Charity offers rapid patient transport, lifesaving skills and care. A vital service for us all.
I'd set myself a challenge in the Himalayas this October to raise awareness and money for the charity.
I went to the base camp of Annapurna 1, the 10th highest mountain in the world. At 4100m this is situated in a huge glacial basin called The Sanctuary and surrounded by towering peaks of the Annapurna Massif. I trekked alone for about 6hrs a day over 8 days.
The whole trip was 100% self funded.
I would appreciate your support to raise enough to cover the cost of one flight/mission.
Nobody in Wales knows who'll need it next.
