Story
Livability Icanho is a specialist community brain injury rehabilitation service based in Suffolk. The service was established nearly 27 years ago and I was one of the original members of staff. As I am retiring this year I would like to raise some money in order to support this amazing service and help them continue this invaluable work.
The Icanho service provides bespoke rehabilitation delivered by an interdisciplinary team working with people once they are home from hospital following a stroke or traumatic brain injury. The team comprises of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Rehabilitation Assistants and a Social worker who works with our families.
Although some of our funding comes from health and social care we are reliant on fundraising by Livability to support the services we provide.
Our clients say:-
"It has been life-changing- coming here has helped me understand my diagnosis and I am now able to do so much more".
"You have given me kindness and understanding, hope in the presence of despair, the ability to extend my reach just to discover what is possible and suddenly you are achieving what you thought would be impossible".
Through our service we enable people to start living again after life-changing brain injury, supporting both and the person with the brain injury and their families.
I hope you're able to give generously to support this unique and special service.
Thank you, Jules
