The Veronica Claxton Memorial Fund
Campaign by Young Lives vs Cancer (RCN 1107328 (England & Wales), SC039857 (Scotland))
The VCMF is a fund I set up in memory of my dear mum who left a huge hole in all our lives on December 8th 2008 when she lost her short battle with cancer aged just 50. This page is to keep her memory alive whilst supporting others.

Story

Hi there,

And thank you for visiting the latest justgiving page of the Veronica Claxton memorial fund which I set up in 2009 in memory of my mum. We are a fundraising group who work closely alongside Young Lives Vs Cancer and since we began we have managed to raise over half a million pounds for them and way over £600,000 for all good causes.

Every year we embark on a long distance cycle and this years takes us from the King of the Belgians pub in Hartford down to Harwich before crossing over to Holland and riding all the way to the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. Roughly 600 miles across 6 days through 3 countries, another great test for our loyal team who get together every year and put it all on the line at their own expense for the charity and the families they support.

Once again we have a great crew signed up with 14 cyclists and a crucial support crew and as always we self fund all the trips ourselves but as always a huge thank you to all our corporate helpers who enable us to keep the costs down as much as possible.

Please share amongst all your friends and family and only give if you can.

This years team will be made up of 14 riders :

Luke Claxton, Stephen Hastings, Paul Innes, Steven Poore, Daniel Moyes, Mark Ling, Liam Johnson, Glen Huddle, Andy Park, Leon Fulianty, Paul Jenner, Gareth Bell, Mark Cade and Joe Carter.

With a crucial support crew of Gary Jolly, David Pinner, Nick Dean and Tommy Barringer

Thank you as always

Luke Claxton
