Story
Callum and I are running in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival 2026 for Brain Tumour Research! This will be Callum's first half marathon event, and although I have completed a 3 half marathon events, I am aiming to achieve this in under 2 hours this time!
My very dear friend from school, Susan, was recently diagnosed with a stage 4 glioblastoma brain tumour and has undergone surgery, radio therapy and chemotherapy.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this.
Brain Tumour Research is the only national charity in the UK focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours through campaigning to increase the national investment in brain tumour research to £35 million per year, while fundraising to create a network of seven sustainable Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence across the UK.
