Story
Some people who know me will understand that this cause is very close to my heart. My brother has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and I am also a carrier of this condition. I am determined to increase awareness for DMD and raise funds for "Muscular Dystrophy UK" to help get us one step closer to finding a cure, or at least provide support that enables individuals with Duchenne to live longer, more fulfilling lives.
As some of you may know, I have entered and will be training for Copenhagen Ironman on August 16, 2026. This will be my first full-distance triathlon, and I see it as a huge opportunity to shine a light on this charity and the disease while I embark on my training journey. DMD is one of my driving motivations.
Muscles are essential; we rely on them for movement—walking, eating, smiling, crying. They pump blood throughout our bodies and allow us to breathe in and out. Our muscles truly matter. By fundraising for "Muscular Dystrophy UK", I’m contributing to world-class research aimed at developing effective treatments and providing life-changing support for the 110,000 people in the UK living with muscle-wasting conditions.
I appreciate all the support in raising money and awareness for the charity I have chosen!
