💳 Why I have chosen to do this challenge in aid of The Dogs Trust?

My own dog, Jack (a Collie cross Springer) was abandoned, twice in his first 11 months, before he found his forever home with me.

In September 2025, he will turn 11!

He has his funny quirks, but he is the most loving and loyal dog.

He is my "Lovable Rogue"

Whilst he won't be taking part on the challenges with me, he will be taking part in many of the Training Walks with me, so keep an eye out for updates on https://www.facebook.com/RetroRambler/, with photos of him!!!

💳 How will your donations help?

Your valued donations go a long way for dogs in the care at the Dogs Trust:

£20 - could provide a cosy, comfy dog bed.

£35.80 - could pay for the cost of looking after a dog for a day at one of our rehoming centres.

£100 - could cover the cost of essential care for one dog during their first week.

£270 - could provide a special formula for a litter of newborn puppies (based on a litter of 10 puppies during their first week).

£350 - could pay for one dog to have three months of support from a Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist, helping them overcome problems preventing them from finding their forever home.

£1000 - could pay for a puppy who has been smuggled into the country to be rescued, quarantined, and rehomed.

🚶‍♀️Have You Done Something Like This Before?

YES!!!

In July 1994, I completed the Vier Daagse in Nijmegen, a walk that is rooted in history, dating back to World War 1.

Vier Daagse, is four days of walking 20km per day, in the Netherlands (I was 14 at the time!). Plus all the training walks, and the two qualifier walks (Avebury to Stonehenge and 2 days of 30km per day, at RAF Benson).

In August 2020, I also walked the full length of The Kennet and Avon Canal over 7 consecutive days, to celebrate my 40th birthday, with the actual day itself walking from Bradford-on-Avon to Bath, crossing over and taking in the views of the Avoncliff and Dundas Aqueducts!

I then found Action/Ultra Challenge, and I have walked and completed the following events:
