Story

My gorgeous friend Kelly has been diagnosed with a nasty form of breast cancer, and as a result of her chemo she is losing her beautiful hair. Kelly's 10 year old daughter, Bella, has been one of my daughter Elsie's best friends since they met at preschool at the age of 2. Bella is pretty distressed at the thought of her mum losing her hair, so I thought that if her friend's mum had no hair either it might help her feel less upset. Kelly has found the information and support she has had from Breast Cancer Now invaluable, and so we decided that the money we raise by doing this will go to them.

The plan is to carry out the shave over the weekend of 23/24th September, provided Kelly is feeling up to it. Many of you will know that Kelly is a qualified hairdresser and so we felt it would be good if she were the one to actually shave my hair off, but by doing it at a weekend our 4 children can all get involved too. Anything that makes Kelly and her family smile is worth doing, and I hope that this will do that for them.
