Story
This June, I’m walking 350,000 steps in 30 days to raise money for the Welsh Air Ambulance.
That’s nearly 12,000 steps every day - rain or shine.
This challenge is personal to me. A close friend of mine suffered a cardiac arrest. Thankfully, she survived - and the air ambulance crew from the Dafen base were with us in just 12 minutes. In a situation like that, those minutes make all the difference. It brought home just how vital rapid emergency response is, and how much we rely on services like this being ready at a moment’s notice.
The Wales Air Ambulance provides life-saving critical care across Wales, often reaching people in remote or hard-to-access areas. They rely heavily on public donations to keep their helicopters flying and their crews responding when it matters most. The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Over the 30 days, I will be sharing updates on my progress, both the good days and the tough ones, as I take on this challenge step by step.
If you can, please support me and the Wales Air Ambulance by donating. Together, we can make a real difference – one step, one life at a time. Every contribution genuinely helps keep this service running and saving lives.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give.
