❤️ BROOKE IS RUNNING THE MINI LONDON MARATHON IN MEMORY OF HER WONDERFUL GRANDAD ❤️
The TCS Mini London Marathon invites schools to run, jog, walk, or wheel 2.6K in the heart of the capital. This is a unique opportunity for children and young people to cross the iconic TCS London Marathon Finish Line and receive the coveted Mini Marathon medal.
SHE WILL BE DOING THIS ON SATURDAY 25TH APRIL AND WE WILL BE THERE TO CHEER HER ON AND SEE HER CROSS THAT FINISH LINE.......THE SAME ONE THAT UNFORTUNATELY HER MUM COULDN’T MAKE 🥺

UPDATE ON 18TH MARCH 2026:
I’m devastated to share that I won’t be running the TCS London Marathon again this year 😢
After months of training, early mornings and putting everything into this…..I’ve unfortunately broken my hip and have been told my marathon dream is over. I’m honestly heartbroken💔
This meant so much to me and it’s really hard to accept that it’s over before I even got to the start line…..again 🥺
It’s pretty tough to process right now, but I know my priority has to be healing xx

UPDATE ON SEPTEMBER 2025:
After deferring my place in 2025 due to a stress fracture in my ankle.....
I will be running THE LONDON MARATHON in memory of my wonderful Dad on Sunday 26th April 2026.
As most of you know, he sadly passed away on Friday 11th August 2023. Having been through so much during the 18 months prior.......his heart finally became too frail to cope.
Dad you will be forever loved and always missed ❤️
If you'd like to read his journey here it is......but buckle up it's a long one…..and hopefully by the end you will understand my motivation to do this:
My dad Paul was a patient at both the UCLH National Hospital For Neurology & UCLH Hospital Of Tropical Diseases from December 2022 until May 2023 (5 months!!) 🏥
He had been poorly since April 2022 and after several wrong diagnosis he was finally diagnosed in December 2022 with a severe fungal infection in his neck. At this point it had eaten his spinal bones & muscles. This was causing his disintegrating spine to strangle his spinal cord 🦴
He was told if this infection had been found to this extent in his foot - then they would have amputated it 😲 but obviously this wasn’t an option in his neck!
He underwent life saving medical treatment at both hospitals and an 8 hour operation on his spine to put in ‘metal scaffolding’ that prevented him from becoming paralysed from the neck down. This was carried out by one of the best Neurologists in the world 🌎
As a family we couldn’t be more thankful for the specialist care he received from the incredible NHS team at UCLH and it just feels right to give back to them in the only way I’ve found how 👩⚕️👨⚕️
And this is why I have decided to run THE LONDON MARATHON on behalf of the UCLH Charity 🏃
I know times are tough at the minute - so I really appreciate any sponsorship you are able to spare 🤑
Thank you in advance for all your support 🙏
PS - please feel free to join me during my training……or give me a wave as you drive past 👋🏼
