Miles for Macmillan

200 mile challenge
According to the NHS, 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime.
Macmillan cancer research offer support to patients and their loved ones at every stage of their cancer experience. The number of people living with cancer continues to grow meaning the existing support services are struggling to cope.
MacMillan are funded by 98% donations. You can see more of how this is used here https://www.macmillan.org.uk/cancer-information-and-support
With this in mind, I want to bring old faces together and push our limits to raise money for Macmillan.
This will involve a series of challenges covering 200 miles.
We will run through Paris, hike through Scotland, wales and England terrain, complete an ultra over the Yorkshire dale and bike ride to Blackpool.
The challenge starts in Paris where we will complete a marathon.
Following from this we will head to Yorkshire Dales National Park to complete an ultra marathon covering 50 miles.
Then back to our home town for a four day event covering over 31 miles. This involves an X trail, hell on the fell, half marathon and Dr Ron Hyde 7.
We then have 24 hours to face the gruelling hike up Snowden, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis.
Finally we make our way from Manchester to Blackpool by bike and tackle 60 miles.
Each challenge will push us to our limits, testing both our mental and physical ability. We will be recording our journey which we invite you to follow.
You can help by donating via the just giving page where the smallest donation will make a difference.
Special thanks goes to John Southworths builders for their generosity and incredible support.
