In March 2025 Leonie Statham (Jodys mum) was suddenly diagnosed with terminal cancer. She desperately wanted to die at her home and Salisbury hospital managed to very quickly set up a palliative care package between the District Nurses and Dorothy House Hospice home care team. Between them, they made her end of life experience as nice as it could possibly be in her home surroundings and gave our family sensitive support at a very difficult time. Jody and I are both celebrating our 50th Birthdays this year and as keen runners, decided to run 50 Miles to raise funds for Dorothy House in mum's memory. We are going to run from Winchester to Warminster (which is our, and Leonies home town) in one day.
