Hello all!

Later this year in September I’ll be running the Berlin marathon. I got in in the ballot but want to use this chance to fundraise for a cause close to my own heart and a charity my wife Sophie volunteers for every Friday - Celia Hammond Animal Trust (CHAT).

As you know we are proud servants to Lily - a rescue cat. And while not from CHAT, she’s inspired us to help her fellow felines.

The work the staff and volunteers do at CHAT is so important and I’ve seen first hand how much of a difference volunteering your time, or donations can make to the extraordinary number of cats that pass through here every day through Sophie. Anything you can spare will make a huge difference!

From providing low cost vet care, and essential neutering services and rehoming animals, CHAT continue to do vital work in London and beyond.

The staff and volunteers feed, clean, cuddle, comfort, and care for so many cats, and without them and CHAT, I have no idea where lots of these cats would have ended up. Their ongoing work means so many more cats can receive love and care. Sophie has been volunteering for 2 years now, every Friday, (even when she is very hungover!)

I’ve seen just how much the staff and volunteers give every single cat (and sometimes dogs too!). The staff here are amazing and doing incredible selfless work. As a volunteer, sometimes it’s exhausting but when you see a cat go to its new home, or watch a member of staff have time to play with a cat because you’ve helped with some cleaning, you know you’re helping something even bigger.
