Story
In April, I’ll be running the London Marathon to raise money for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).
Even as the news moves on, the reality in Gaza and the West Bank remains devastating. Lives have been torn apart, healthcare systems destroyed, and so many Palestinians are still struggling to access urgent medical care.
For more than 40 years, MAP has worked alongside local partners to deliver life-saving treatment, rehabilitation, and support to people living through conflict and trauma. Their teams continue to provide care in incredibly difficult circumstances.
This cause is deeply personal to me. A close friend and fellow teacher in Gaza has lost his home and is now living in a tent with his family. Knowing that someone I care about is living through this makes the need for medical aid and support painfully real.
I’m aiming to raise £1,000 to support MAP’s vital work. Every donation, no matter the size, helps provide essential medical care and hope to people who need it most.
