🚨 Twenty Slightly Questionable Motorcycles. One Brilliant Cause. 🚨
What could possibly go wrong?
On 19th September, a band of optimistic (or completely mad) riders will point their pre-1985 motorcycles west and attempt an East Coast to West Coast... and back again challenge.
The destination isn't the difficult bit.
The challenge is persuading the bikes to get there.
These are classic machines with personalities of their own. They leak things that shouldn't leak, vibrate everything loose, occasionally refuse to start out of pure stubbornness, and consider "reliable" to be a personal insult. Every mile will be earned.
Will they make it? Probably.
Will they all make it? Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Will someone become intimately acquainted with the hard shoulder while trying to coax 40-year-old electrics back into life? Almost certainly.
Over three days they'll battle breakdowns, hills, weather, mechanical tantrums and each other's navigation skills—all to raise money for St Catherine's Hospice, whose staff provide extraordinary care and support to people and families when they need it most.
Unlike the bikes, the hospice can always be relied upon.
So we're asking for your support.
Whether it's £2, £5, £10 or more, every donation helps St Catherine's Hospice continue its incredible work.
Please sponsor the riders, cheer them on, and if you happen to see a convoy of ancient motorcycles parked at the side of the road... don't worry.
They're probably "just making a small adjustment."
Or waiting for someone to find the missing spark.
Or arguing over whose turn it is to push.
Thank you for supporting this wonderfully daft adventure and, more importantly, a truly wonderful charity.
