Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support. I am trying to raise money in memory of my two dear friends and motorcycling brothers Fousands Bob and BT Dave who both passed within weeks of each other late last year of heart related issues. I also have other family and friends going through heart issues, so this is for them too.

Bob, Dave, my wife, son and myself have spent many years on adventures both here and abroad on our Triumph motorbikes and now they have gone I feel a little bit at a loss. I feel I need to do something to honour the memory of two lovely, often silly, wonderful men

20+years ago Bob, Dave and another friend Malc did a charity cycle ride from Sheffield to Potter Heigham on the Norfolk Broads to raise money for Cancer Research. I rode along with them with my wife Jo riding pillion on my Triumph 955i Sprint ST as a safety outrider. At that time Bob didn't have his motorbike licence, Dave did but didn't have a motorbike. In total jealousy Bob decided during this ride he wanted a bike with an engine. So on his return to Sheffield he set about taking his bike test at the age of 54. He passed and spent many hours under Daves tuition learning how to ride bikes safely. Sadly Dave never instructed him on a sense of direction because he was forever getting lost. Over the years we had many adventures in Europe and in the UK and the memories we shared will stay with me forever.

In memory of my two friends I plan to recreate that cycling trip, only in reverse, from Norfolk to Sheffield on Daves pride and joy. His BSA Ariel 3 moped. And in true homage to Dave I plan to do it dressed as a Smurf, as he did on the Theo's egg run events at Easter for Sheffield Children's Hospital.

I have decided to start this event on Saturday 18th July and hopefully end it on Monday 20th July 2026.

For my own safety as much as anything I will be completing the journey on minor B roads as much as I possibly can. For this reason and wanting to look after Daves BSA I am doing it over three days, stopping at Kings Lynn and Sleaford as we did on the original cycle ride.

Starting point is now confirmed as the Norada Grill and Tavern at Potter Heigham Bridge and many thanks to Costa for allowing me to do this.

It is with much happiness that I can confirm the ride will end at Hillsborough football ground, Bob and Dave were both Wednesday fans so I can think of no more fitting venue to end this ride. Thanks also to SWFC for allowing me to honour my friends in this way.

Still some minor details to iron out, but look forward to seeing you on route through the back roads of Norfolk, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.

Please get behind me on this endeavour and raise as much as possible for a very worthwhile cause in memory of two lovely men.
