In memory of Doreen Nicholls

Annual Charity Football Match · 12 July 2026

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

In May 2024, we sadly lost our Nan, Doreen Nicholls, to pancreatic cancer — a disease that is still massively underfunded and one that affects so many families far too quickly.

To honour her memory, we are hosting our second annual charity football match at Fairford Town FC, bringing together family, friends, and the local community to raise money for an incredible cause.

Last year, thanks to the unbelievable support from everyone involved, we raised over £2,200 for Pancreatic Cancer UK — something we are all incredibly proud of.

This year, we want to go even bigger. Every donation, no matter the size, will help fund vital research, support families affected by pancreatic cancer, and help raise awareness of a disease that often goes undetected until it’s too late.

Whether you donate, share the page, sponsor a player, or come along to support on the day, you are helping us keep Doreen’s memory alive while making a real difference to others fighting this terrible illness.

Thank you for your support — let’s smash last year’s total together. 💜⚽
