Story
Thanks for visiting my page.
I’m walking 75km to raise money for Sarcoma UK — and to raise awareness of rare bone tumours and what life can look like after major surgery.
A while ago, I was diagnosed with a chondroblastoma — a rare, non-cancerous bone tumour. It’s so rare that there’s very little information or support out there. Even though it’s not classed as a sarcoma, I went through the same route as many sarcoma patients. The same specialists, the same scans, the same major operation.
That operation was an internal hemipelvectomy, which involved removing part of my pelvis. It changed everything. Recovery has been long, painful, and honestly, overwhelming at times. This walk is about showing what’s possible after all of that. Not just for me, but for anyone facing something similar.
Sarcoma UK is doing vital work — funding research, supporting patients and families, and fighting for better treatment options. For rare conditions like mine, that kind of work matters more than most people realise.
If you’re able to donate, share, or just help spread the word, thank you. It means more than I can say.
