Story

At North Hinksey CE Primary School, we are excited to launch a special fundraising drive to create a brand-new Mobile Non-Fiction Library—a dynamic, rolling book collection designed to bring the wonder of the real world directly into every classroom.

Why Non-Fiction Matters for Our Pupils

Providing our children with high-quality non-fiction texts plays a vital role in helping them learn about the world around them. These books fire up young imaginations, encouraging reading for pleasure and getting children talking about big topics like climate change, space, and local history.

Exploring factual books also enhances language development, introducing key concepts and technical vocabulary that lay the foundation for pupils to become skilled, confident readers. Every child has unique passions, and a rich variety of non-fiction caters to their varied interests while inspiring brand-new hobbies and discoveries.

How Your Donation Helps

A moveable library allows us to share a fresh, ever-changing selection of beautiful reference books, biographies, and factual guides across all year groups.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us purchase durable mobile book carts and stock them with exciting, high-quality non-fiction titles that will inspire our young readers at North Hinksey for years to come.
