🚒 Nozzle Ninjas – Firefighters from across Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service are raising money for the Nottingham University Hospital Charities. 🚣‍♂️

We’re Firefighters from across Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service and this July we’re swapping fire hoses for paddles as we take on the Dragon Boat Race on the River Trent in Nottingham.

Our team name?

The Nozzle Ninjas. 🥷🔥

(Sounding fast, skilled… and slightly more coordinated than we probably are.)

Now here’s the challenge…

A dragon boat only works if everyone paddles in perfect sync.

Same rhythm. Same timing. No freelancing.

Which might be a problem… because:

Some of us think we’re elite athletes

Some of us are just here for the team spirit

And at least one of us will definitely be paddling like they’re tackling a house fire

There’s a strong chance we go sideways.

There’s an even stronger chance we argue about whose fault it is.

But jokes aside…

We’re doing this to raise money for Nottingham University Hospitals Charity, supporting the incredible work they do for people in our community every single day.

In our job, we see just how important that care is.

So this is our way of giving something back.

We’ll give it everything we’ve got on the day, even if it’s not always in the same direction.
