Story
Over 75,000 young people in the UK need to use a wheelchair to be mobile.
I was one of the lucky ones, with specialist wheelchairs costing over £10,000 on average my Gran always made sure I had everything I needed, including the lifeline that allows me to live my daily life.
While she was always thrilled to be able to provide the things I needed, from my wheelchair to a specialist bike so I could ride around like everyone else, my Gran was always sad that there were young people out there who didn't have the support I had and wouldn't be able to access the equipment they needed.
Anybody who knew my wonderful Gran knows that she was the most generous person and her generosity was never stronger than when children needed support.
Please help us to continue my Gran's generosity by donating to a cause she has held close to her heart
Whizz Kidz are the UK’s leading charity supporting young wheelchair users up to 25 years old. They empower young wheelchair users with the equipment, support, and confidence-building experiences they need to take an active role in society. The Whizz Kidz goal is to create a movement for progress towards a more open and accessible world.
They are currently holding an appeal to reopen their waiting list in time for Christmas to give children the one essential piece of equipment that will change their lives for the better
