Pippa's fundraiser for Sightsavers

Pippa Cheetham is raising money for Sightsavers
In memory of Roy Edward Bradbury
Sightsavers' vision is of a world where no one is blind from avoidable causes and where visually impaired people participate equally in society.

Story

Roy Edward Bradbury (Dad) passed away suddenly on 9th June 2026. He'd had a lovely day with Mum and was doing his favourite thing - pottering in his beloved garden - when he had a heart attack and died instantly.

We miss him so much and there is a huge, Dad-shaped hole in all of our lives.

We are so grateful that he didn't suffer. We are also grateful for the amazing care of the emergency services to both Dad and Mum in the hours that followed.

Roy had an immense capacity for love and laughter and he was generous with his time and his advice. He had made the village his home for 40 years and had contributed to many of the community organisations.

He enjoyed team sports and in retirement had taken up croquet, which he thoroughly enjoyed and made some good friends.

Roy supported many charities, particularly those who help children. Sightsavers was particularly close to his heart as he couldn't bear the thought of children not being able to see the wonders of the world. Please support this important charity in memory of Roy Edward Bradbury.
