Story
On the 18th of May 2005, I experienced a life-changing event when I was run over by a pedal cyclist, resulting in a life-threatening subdural haematoma.
Thanks to the swift and dedicated actions of both the clinical and non-clinical NHS teams at King George's and Queen's Hospitals, I was stabilised and spent months on a life support machine.
As I approach the milestone of celebrating 20 years of life, I am filled with gratitude for those who saved me. To honour this journey, I am hosting a 'Coffee to Celebrate' event on the 18th of May 2025. My goal is to raise £1,000 for the King George & Queen's Hospitals Charity, which supports the ICU unit that cares for thousands of patients each year.
