On 29th August 2025 I will be setting off on a 1,300km solo cycling challenge from Jersey, via Saint Malo in Brittany, to Perpignan in the Occitania region of southern France. As well as a personal challenge I will be raising money for the Jersey Branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

The MNDA is a cause close to my heart. I have seen the invaluable support the MNDA Jersey Branch give to families battling Motor Neurone Disease and I want to do my bit to support their amazing work.

In 2019 I and another friend completed a cycle ride down the Atlantic coast of France, finishing in San Sebastián and raised more than £3,500 for the MNDA. This time though I am raising the stakes and undertaking this challenge on my own, and want to raise even more money. The route down to Perpignan is 1,300km long and I expect it will take almost three weeks to complete.

The MNDA Jersey Branch is a registered charity and an affiliate organisation run entirely by volunteers. They aim to provide the best possible support to people in Jersey with MND, their families and carers. All the money I raise will remain in Jersey and support these amazing volunteers to help Islanders battling with the disease.
