Story
Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Sally and I are planning to ride across the UK, west to east, partly following Hadrian's wall. The route is about 110 miles over the North Pennines and includes a highest point of nearly 900ft. We're planning to complete within 4 days.
Why am I doing it? My Daughter, Bonnie, has been diagnosed with Addison's Disease. You might not have heard of it, as it only affects around 1 in 10,000 people in the UK (we always knew she was special).
Addison’s is a rare endocrine condition where the adrenal glands do not produce enough steroid hormones and can be life threatening. Life-long treatment with replacement steroid hormones is required. Medication is usually taken several times daily at carefully timed intervals. This treatment allows people to live a full and vibrant life and anyone who knows Bonnie will know nothing will stop her from doing just that!
Please help us, to help ADSG, to help people with information and research.
