Richard's Three Cycles Challenge

Richard Barr is raising money for Down's Syndrome Association
In memory of Tom Barr

On a single day, I aim to ride three laps of the UK’s largest reservoir, Rutland Water. One lap will be on my penny farthing; one lap on a touring bike; and a final lap on a carbon fibre road bike!

Children and adults with Down’s syndrome are all unique individuals with their own personalities, family backgrounds and preferences that make them who they are. We aim to create the conditions that all people with Down’s syndrome need to live full and rewarding lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In late summer 2025, on a single day, along with Tom Mouse, I aim to ride three laps of the UK’s largest reservoir (by surface area), Rutland Water. One lap will be on my penny farthing; one lap on a touring (gravel) bike; and a final lap on a carbon fibre road bike! The perimeter track is 17 miles, 23 miles including the Hambleton Peninsula (which I will only ride using the gravel bike given the peninsula’s rough tracks and steep gradients!).
