Story
On 24th September 1972 our T.O.M.C.C. Patron and ex-Triumph development engineer, Norman Hyde, wheeled his nitro-methanol burning 830cc Trident-powered outfit 'Roadrunner III' onto the runway at the RAF base of Fairford in Gloucestershire to set a new world speed record.
Norman has recently been diagnosed with dementia, and in his own inimitable way has turned his personal challenge into a powerful call to action inviting all members and branches of the Triumph Owners' Motor Cycle Club to unite in raising vital funds for Dementia UK. So please join with a passionate motorcycling community and embark on the 'Ride to Recall 2026', a heartfelt journey dedicated to supporting Dementia UK.
Dementia is a condition that touches countless lives, creating an urgent need for specialised care and support. By participating in shows, events, concours competitions, and ride-outs organised by T.O.M.C.C. branches and individual members alike, we can make a meaningful difference. Every mile ridden and every pound raised brings us closer to enhancing the lives of those affected by dementia.
We encourage you to help raise funds - whether by attending events, contributing donations, or spreading awareness within your networks. Together, we can fuel hope and provide essential resources for families navigating the challenges of dementia. Let’s ride forward with optimism and purpose to create lasting impact.
