In the wake of climate change and disruption to our lovely coast walks, we at least have a great alternative discovery trail of Cornwall. It is possible to walk (or even cycle) along way-marked routes between Morwenstow and St Michael’s Mount (Lands End too!). The trail zigzags coast to coast across Cornwall on a 200 - mile course which offers great diversity and intrigue of its past.

A full walking guide (which includes all local connecting routes like the St Piran’s and St Day Feast Trails) is available at my website from EBOOKS. All proceeds support the charity.

THIS YEAR’S CORNISH PILGRIMAGE

Commencing in September 2026, this year’s effort will start from St Michael’s Mount and head north on its course to Morwenstow. I am reaching out to volunteers to walk a day/section with me and fundraise using a Justgiving donation page. Also, Cornwall Hospices will be hoping for support from local businesses who can possibly advertise, promote or even host a fundraising event at some of the places along the way.

POST EVENT

Immediately after the walk, we are planning to host a Harvest Auction with live entertainment at The Fox & Hounds Inn, Comford on Saturday 12th September, once we have completed a 10-mile walk along the local section of the pilgrimage. Details will be posted later and may already be available on other Facebook pages.

Tuesday 1st September from St Michael’s Mount.

Day 1 - Ayr Campsite, St Ives

Day 2 - HQ Carharrack

Day 3 - Pentewan Campsite

Day 4 - Lanlivet

Day 5 - St Dennis Campsite, Padstow

Day 6 - The Countryman Hotel, Camelford.

Day 7 - Tregadillet Campsite.

Day 8 - B&B, Bude

Day 9 - Camp, Bush Inn, Morwenstow.
