Story
Next month will be Ruby's 4th birthday, so we are raising money for James Hopkins Trust in her memory!
Our second daughter, Ruby, was born sleeping on the 4th March 2021. This was truly the hardest thing we as a family have ever had to face, firstly losing our beautiful angel who we had so many plans for, and secondly our hearts broke for our daughter Lily who had been so excited to be a big sister & even more so when we found out she’d have a little sister!
Since Ruby was born sleeping we have been regularly donating Hampers to the Bereavement Suites at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in her memory to support other parents who sadly go through the loss of their baby.
This year we would like to do something a bit different and raise money for a charity that supports Life-Limited and Life-Threatened young children in Gloucestershire.
The main reason we feel this is the charity we would like to support is because Ruby was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a major heart defect. Had she of survived, we would have needed the expert nursing support and care that James Hopkins Trust offers to their children and families. We would like to help ensure other families are able to access the incredible respite support the team offer.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story & for any support you can offer! Any contribution will make an impact, no matter how big or small, so thank you! Laura & Rob ♥
PS. we've included some information about James Hopkins Trust below:
James Hopkins Trust provides care & support for Gloucestershire's families who have a life limited or life threatened young child by offering free nursing respite day or night in the family home or at their multi sensory respite centre.
