🧭 My Solo Circumnavigation of Great Britain & Ireland for Alzheimer’s Research UK
Hello, I’m Paul — a sailor taking on a personal challenge to complete a solo circumnavigation of Great Britain & Ireland.

This journey is about more than adventure. I am doing it to raise vital funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK — helping to drive forward the search for a cure for dementia.
Dementia affects millions of people across the UK, touching families, friendships, and communities.
By supporting this challenge, you’ are contributing directly to groundbreaking research that aims to change the future of this devastating condition.
⛵ The Challenge
I’ll be sailing alone around the entire coastline of Great Britain & down the East Coast of Ireland in my 26 year old Beneteau Oceanis 321 sailboat - navigating changing weather, powerful tidal streams, and long stretches alone at sea.
This is a true endurance challenge that will test both seamanship and resilience.
