Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Parkinson’s is a cause that holds deep significance for our family. Simon's mother bravely battled this condition, and Simon received his own diagnosis in 2017. He had the privilege of running the London Marathon in 2013 to raise awareness for Parkinson’s, whilst Lara and Jasper have also contributed with their own half-marathons. Whilst his condition prevents him from running another marathon, Simon is determined to walk the full distance on May 2nd, 2026.
This journey will be challenging, but he is joined by 10 family members who share this commitment. Together, they will walk 26 miles from Itchenor (in West Sussex) along the coast line to Pagham Harbour and round to Chichester canal and back down towards the Witterings. This will represent the full marathon distance in a day, and the family hope to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s UK. Your support can make a real difference in the lives of those affected by this condition.
We kindly ask you to consider donating towards a target of £7,500. Every contribution counts and brings us one step closer to making a positive impact in the fight against Parkinson’s.
